Celebrity Scoop: Top Chef Stars Aboard Constellation

| Monday, 20 Aug. 2012

Colicchio and Simmons will feature former contestants on the wildly popular show. "Top Chef" fans - and there are legions - are no doubt jumping up and down over the news that Bravo's beloved stars, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, will be sailing on the April 11-15, 2013 roundtrip Miami cruise onboard Celebrity Constellation. Colicchio and Simmons will host the voyage, which will also feature former contestants on the wildly popular show.

Count on "Top Chef"-style events onboard. Think interactive "Quickfire" cooking challenges, question-and-answer sessions, culinary demonstrations and much more. And yes, cruisers will get to chat up and mingle with the stars.

Past season guest chefs who will join this sail include Hubert Keller, Angelo Sosa and Hosea Rosenberg. I had the pleasure of hosting Chefs' Holidays events at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite, California last winter and was lucky enough to work with Rosenberg. He was the "Top Chef" Season 5 winner and resides in Boulder, Colorado. He's not only a talented chef, he's an articulate and gifted instructor.

Angelo Sosa was a runner-up on Season 7 and also appeared on "Top Chef All-Stars." He has two New York restaurants and has worked with such superstar chefs as Jean-Georges Vongerichten (Manhattan's Jean-Georges, Spice Market, among many) and France's famed Alain Ducasse. Sosa is not only gifted, he's camera-ready-looking, too. (Just sayin.)

Hubert Keller (San Francisco's marvelous Fleur de Lys; Las Vegas's Fleur by Hubert Keller) is a true Bravo regular. He has not only appeared on "Top Chef," he also has "Top Chef All-Stars, "Top Chef Masters" and "Top Chefs Just Desserts" on his TV credits list.

More past "Top Chefs" sailing on this cruise include contestants such as Tiffany Derry, Michael Isabella and Tim Love. Additional chefs will be announced shortly.

Staterooms go on sale August 16, 2012 at 12 pm EST. And, in case you're one of the few interested in the cruise ports, Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico are among them. I have a feeling this cruise will sell-out, and quickly. If "Top Chef" fans have proven anything, it's that they are loyal.
