Carnival Cruise Lines

Carnival Conquest
by Antonia byers
Western Caribbean

Hi all just back from our first Carnival Cruise on the Conquest. The ship was beautiful and the rooms were large. Our cabin was on the second deck in the middle with a window. The staff was very nice and did a great job cleaning up after us!Over all I think they could have had more activities lanned and the food was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The weather was bad the entire time and many of the shore activities were cancelled because of poor weather however on the ship thee were no activities planned while the ship was docked.

The Cruise Director Corrie Schmidt was fantastic very funny and very personable. This ship is large and you could tell there was a loss of quality because of the number of passengers. With 3000 people to feed the food has an institutional feel to it. In regards to the ports I suggest they DROP Jamaica it was really not very nice and most everyone we spoke with felt the same way. Caimen Island was very nice as was Cozumel. I do not think we would pick such a large ship next time but we would go with Carnival again.
