Cruise to Nowhere
October 3, 2002

I took the "cruise to nowhere" this week-end. It actucally went about 70- miles or so east past the tip of Cape Cod.

Everything about it was great, food, entertainment, and the ship itself.

I'll give a quick run down in the basic categories.

Check-in. Left something to be desired. No porters for this cruise. Cruisers has to take care of their own luggage. Waited on line 45 minutes to be told I could skip this line if my documentation was filled in.

Cabin. Better the than expected. Had a Category 4D. Room was spacious. Even has a mini-bar. Their FunVision has great variety. We saw "Greek Wedding" for free. Bathroom was very big. There was even room to manuever in the shower.

Food. Best I've seen on a Carnival ship. The lunch buffets were excellent. Great variety, not just cafeteria style dining.

Entertainment. Great review-type shows. The comedian Al Earnst did a few shows. All were enjoyable. John Heald is John Heald. I hope he stays here because I'm taking the 8-day from NYC in June.

Cabin Stewards. Did their job and remained unseen. Room was perfect every day.

Ship Itself. Plenty of public space. With 2500 people onboard, you still had room for yourself.

Pool Area. 2 Pools, 4 hottubs, and a retractable roof. What else could you ask for.

Biggest problem. Having to get off on Sunday morning.
