CruiseMates, a popular online resource for unbiased and authoritative cruise information, features ship reviews and articles, cruise news, polls, message boards and more.
NEW YORK TIMES: "Many sites that offer reviews are selling cruises, which raises questions about impartiality. An exception is CruiseMates."
FORTUNE MAGAZINE: "The Web's best site for articles, advice, or chatting with Cruise People. Self-financed and run independently of the industry, so their opinions are impartial."

Today, Tuesday October 2, Royal Caribbean is sponsoring a one-day sale on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises. All of the agencies listed on this page can help you with this event, or go to royalcaribbean.com. There are good bargains available today, while they last. Cruises are selling fast so be sure to check availability after you see the initial price.
And if you miss the sale today, be sure to get our Thursday CruiseMates newsletter (in two days) which will also have an exclusive link to Royal Caribbean specials for just for CruiseMates readers! If you want to subscribe to this newsletter now, so you are sure to receive it Thursday, go here: subscribe. If you already received this newsletter, you are already subscribed to the other.
Royal Caribbean is CruiseMates' top rated cruise line for families, especially the Freedom-class which has myriad onboard sports activities. This was the first ship with the Flo-Rider wave-making machine for surfing and boogie-boarding right on the deck of the ship (not behind it, as a few people have asked us!).
The Freedom-class also has a larger ice skating rink than the Voyager-class, and cantilevered hot tubs high atop deck 17 hanging over the edge of the ship. There is so much to do on these behemoths, it is impossible to be bored. And don't forget, Freedom of the Seas and her first sister ship, Liberty of the Seas, both sail out of Miami on alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Take your pick of leaving on a Saturday or a Sunday, and go to whichever itinerary you prefer - or take both itineraries back to back without changing ships!.
The third sister, Independence of the Seas, is ready to make her European debut in May 2008. The ship is scheduled to sail out of Southampton, U.K. full time, for the enjoyment of the burgeoning British class of cruise enthusiasts.
