A New CruiseMates Group Cruise – With An Unusual Itinerary For A Big Ship
Written by: Kuki
One aspect of my job at CruiseMates that I really enjoy is choosing ships and itineraries for our CruiseMates Group Cruises. And when this particular ship and itinerary were brought to my attention I couldn’t say yes to it fast enough. The choice was a Breeze. The Carnival Breeze is still under construction in the shipyard in Italy, and will debut in June 2012, offering several different itineraries in Europe.
However, the particular sailing that we’ve chosen for our CruiseMates Group Cruise is unique, in that normally only much smaller ships offer multiple overnight stays in ports of call. On the June 27, 2012 sailing that we’ve chosen, participants are going to have the opportunity to overnight in both Rome and Venice, Italy. To make this trip even more attractive our Travel Agent, Cruise Planners top producing Travel Agent, Nancy Bogert, is offering the added amenity of a free pre-cruise hotel stay in Barcelona, Spain (where the cruise begins and ends). Thus, all participants in our group will get to enjoy overnight stays in three of the most spectacular cities in Europe; Barcelona, Rome, and Venice while sailing on a new ship, only weeks out of the shipyard!
As mentioned, this 12 night cruise begins in Barcelona, continuing on to Marseilles, France – Livorno Italy for Florence/Pisa – Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy overnight – Day At Sea – Dubrovnik, Croatia – Venice, Italy overnight- Day at Sea -Messina (Sicily), Italy – Day at Sea – Barcelona, Spain. There are no “dogs” on this itinerary. All are spectacular ports of call, offering some of the most special and historically important sites to see in the world.
You’ll get to share this fabulous cruise with many fellow members of the CruiseMates community, and you’ll be hosted by our Community Leader, Mike Mastellar, who will be hosting several events onboard. Mike is not only a big ball of fun, he’s also one of the most travelled members of our staff, and will no doubt be a wealth of information helping you to be prepared for this amazing trip, exchanging information via our message boards before the sailing.
As Carnival Cruise Line’s pricing policies for group cruise has gotten somewhat complicated, we’ve decided to offer two alternatives for booking this group. Interested parties can choose to book at the current group rate, or if interested can book at Carnival’s Early Saver Rate. Whichever route one choses for booking, you will be included in all CruiseMates group activities and value added amenities.
