    CruiseMates Sponsorship for Cruise Agencies -- How it works...

    Sponsorship begins with our Cruise Shopping Mall called "Cruise Bargains".

    Cruise Bargains is broken out into 11 different categories (for example; Alaska). Each category has SPONSORSHIP POSITIONS on top and classified ads below. Sponsors are given access to an online admin interface where they can post and update (in real-time, at any time) three different specials associated with each sponsorship position.

    You can become a Sponsor in any number of areas of Cruise Bargains on a monthly basis. Your monthly cost depends on the number of positions you want. The more categories you sponsor, the more coverage you get... for example, if you sponsor just one category you get a certain number of banners, and one mention in our weekly newsletter. Sponsor two categories and get twice as many banners and two mentions in our weekly newsletter, and so forth...

    CruiseMates usually sells inserts into its weekly editorial newsletter (subscriptions: 275,000) for $1500/week, but Sponsors get to list one or two cruise deals in our "Best of CruiseMates Cruise Bargains" email blast, and/or our "Best of the Web" email blast ( a separate newsletter going to the same 275,000 subscribers), depending on your contract. Every week, before we compile the Bargains newsletter, we will email you to ask what specials you want included. Your specials can be in any region or category, not just the ones you sponsor.

    Banner Advertising Included
    CruiseMates sells banner advertising at competitive industry rates (see the "values" below), but for each paid Cruise Bargains Sponsorship position we will ALSO include at no extra cost the following amount of banner advertising every month. Banners are distributed throughout the CruiseMates site, not just Cruise Bargains. For each category you get the choice of ONE of the following:

    Classified Ads Included
    CruiseMates sells classified ads to non-sponsors for $49.99 per ad, but Sponsors can post an unlimited number of classified ads, not to exceed ONE per day. All classified ads appear on the front page of Cruise Bargains in a master list with the most recent ad on top, and each ad is also listed within the region or category you select. You are not limited in classified ads to the specific categories you sponsor - amy classified is allowed. But most importantly, the four most recent classifed ads are listed on the FRONT PAGE OF CRUISEMATES which results in a fabulous amount of exposure for your hottest deal.

    • You can advertise your logo next to your specials.
      The logo can link directly to your website (or wherever you choose).

    • You can put up three different headlines simultaneously
      to promote whatever you want.

    • Each headline can link to any page you want.
      You can link to a specific special, your home page or to your page of cruise specials.

    • Your entire sponsorship area is always at your complete control.
      You get your own administration interface (click for demo) that allows you to update headlines and their links "on-the-fly" as often and as many times as you want. Changes you make to your sponsorship area take effect immediately.

    • As a CruiseMates Sponsor you can post one free Cruise Classified Ad per day at no extra charge (worth $1500/month in itself as these ads are normally sold individually for $49.95.

    • Each week, CruiseMates sends out a weekly newsletter devoted entirely to the "Cruise Bargains." This newsletter is comprised cruise offerings our sponsors send us, or our Sponsor's most recent listings in their paid sponsorship listings. Only CruiseMates Sponsors are included in this mailing.

      We will UPDATE your listings for you each Monday, by request All we ask is that you send us the information in the following format:

      Headline: [no more than 150 characters - including spaces
      Link: the URL of the page that you want us to link the headline to.

      You don't have to do ANY maintenance on your sponsorship area if you do not have the time.

    • You can have as many sponsorships positions as you want, they are sold in monthly increments (by calendar month) on a first-come first-serve basis. Sponsorships auto-renew, so as long as you keep a position it is yours for as long as you want (subject to conditions).

    • CruiseMates Sponsorship also includes banner advertising. You get your choice of ad sizes to run throughout the CruiseMates Site and message boards every month included in your contract.

    Please note that our Classified Ad Policies have changed!
    • CruiseMates will now give 30 classified ads in 30 days for one low price: $1000. This means you can place a new classified ad every day of the calendar month for a single monthly fee. The advantages are: you get to advertise 30 different specials per month, and every newly placed ad appears on our front page and at the top of the list (the four most recently posted ads appear on the home page of CruiseMates).

    • Classified ads now include links to your Web site home page. Each ad links to a "details" page within the CruiseMates website which now allows you to put in all information you need about the cruise you are selling and all of your contact information.
