Well, just got home today from our 9-night cruise to Alaska and repositioning to LA. We had a great time on the cruise, although the weather did NOT cooperate while in Alaska. We had very rough seas on our first day, and we had an aft/corner junior suite w/balcony and we were rolling off the bed and had our belongings thrown about the cabin. It got so rough that many passengers in very forward and very aft rooms slept on the couches in the public areas mid-ship! After that 1st day, the sea became very calm while in the Inside Passage, except for the next 3 days were rainy and foggy in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, but not so bad we couldn't enjoy the ports. The weather calmed down on the trip back south, and we had perfect weather and seas for our trip to LA with a great weather for our stop in San Francisco. Full review and pictures will be coming! Besides the one day of rough sea and the rainy weather (RCI doesn't control the weather!), the cruise really was great! I saw some familiar faces from our cruise on the Vision 1 year ago, including some of the same dining room staff and the same CD who remembered me!
Of course the best part of the cruise was finding out that my beloved Cubs clinched the NL Central Division while I was away, playoffs here we come!
Now comes the part of unpacking and washing clothes, getting caught up around the house and at work, downloading the pictures from our cameras, and all that stuff! And then getting ready to do it all again in 3 short weeks to the Caribbean!!!
