When you live on board, all your necessities are provided for you. Like the poster before me said, if you spend all your time onboard, either working, sleeping, or eating, or if you only do the free stuff while your in port, you'll have no expenses.

My wife and I will be joining NCLA this month and, if all goes well, spending about 2 years for them out of Hawaii. Banking all the money we earn for two years we'll have enough to buy a house once our fourth contract is up.
