On a scale of 1 - 10 I would have to rank the importance of the dress code at an 8.

My biggest problem, and greatest ire, is reserved for violations of the dress code which involve the following:

Quote:
T-shirts, swimsuits, tank tops and shorts are not allowed in the restaurants or public areas during the evening hours.
Now, someone might say "This doesn't happen!" YES, it does; and, sometimes it happens on Formal Night. On a recent cruise aboard the Volendam we observed many dozens of people "out and about" in the main dining room, in the lounges, and wiggling on the dance floors, dressed in shorts and t-shirts -- yes, on all three Formal Nights -- and it wasn't just a few, or a small handful ... we're talking many dozens of people. Indeed, enough people that, at one point, those in the Ocean Bar dressed below the "not allowed" stipulation OUTNUMBERED those dressed according to code. I'm serious.
