We have two boys and have gone to Paradise Beach since it opened.
It does not charge an entrance fee like Playa Mia. Their lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, CLEAN restrooms, changing rooms and even Internet at the bar are all FREE.
All they ask you to do is eat/drink while you are there.
There is an OPTIONAL wristband for those folks who want to enjoy the non-motorized water toys. It is $10 per person (as of last week)....but this also now includes the land toys as well. You can climb a coconut tree or play on the land bungie/trampoline. The non-motorized water toys include kayaks, snorkeling, floats,(individual and multi person) two water trampolines and an iceberg. They have life vests for those persons who feel they may need them. Some equipment requires a deposit, but it is refunded in full when the equipment is returned.
They also have lockers for rent if you need one.
Tom is from Canada and he is the manager. Super nice guy with a great staff that will take excellent care of you for a carefree day on the beach.
There are also many independent vendors around if you want to Parasail, Jet Ski, Banana boat ride etc.
Massages are also available right on the beach. Nice clean towels and linens under a tent with a breeze. $1 per minute with a 30 minute minimum. Excellent!!!
And of course, you can get your hair braided etc. We have never been constantly harrassed to partake in these services...but it is nice to know they are there if we want them.
Like most beach resorts in Cozumel, the taxi ride will be $12 -15 one way for up to 4 people depending on where you dock or tender into.
There are more taxis than sand in Cozumel, so don't worry about getting back to the ship. There are always taxis at Paradise Beach ready to take you back!!
