The tips for bar tenders are included in the price of the drinks. (15%) There tips do not come out of the daily, automatic gratuity.
The tips for cabin stewards, waiters, asst waiters, etc. are added to your onboard account. I imagine the bartender was not happy because the people were not ordering regular bar drinks, thus the bartenders weren't making any money.
