Just keep reading these boards and most if not all of your questions will be answered. Make sure your travel ID is current and all your travel documents are together - carry these on your person - DO NOT place
them in your checked luggage. - Talk to your TA if
yu need a passport (I know the rules change but not sure just when).
You will need some type of sport coat (preferably a dark suit) for the formal nites (if you decide to eat in the main dining room) - this is optional
so if you are not comfortable about "dressing up a bit" there are other
places you can eat at those nites. However, personally, I recommend that you do this at least once ! If you and your gilrfriend like to shop - do your
homework before buying in the islands, especailly jewelry. If you are looking for something special - price it here in the states and find out the
important facts about quality, etc. so when you are in the islands - you are
more apt to know whether you are getting a fair price or not. As the cruise
ship is a "cash-less" society - you will just show your ID card when buying
drinks at the bars, the "drink of the day" at the pools, shopping on board,
- these can add up VERY quickly - so be careful. Also, you can drop a
bundle in the casinos - so be forewarned. The shore excurions through
the ship are usually more $$ however, you are less likely to MISS the
ship if your tour runs late - booking with an independant on the docks
does NOT give you this protection but you CAN save money with them.
Yes, you can do a morning and afternoon excursion - check the times
so as not to book too close and miss your lunch. If you book a tour on the
ship and then change your mind - cancelling 24 hrs ahead and your account will NOT be charged. Have a great time !!
