AT 800 AM PDT...1500 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM HERNAN WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 14.8 NORTH...LONGITUDE 115.1 WEST OR ABOUT 655
MILES...1055 KM...SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA
CALIFORNIA.

HERNAN IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH...19 KM/HR...
AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT 24 TO 48
HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 60 MPH...95
