True, tickets are not transferrable BUT if one of the original passengers booked in the cabin can still go on the cruise, you can change the name(s) of the other passenger(s) booked in the cabin. There may be an additional charge to do this, if the price has gone up.

My husband & I booked a cruise & are taking our daughter & her friend. We have two cabins booked. Due to a last minute work issue, my husband can no longer go. I was able to fill his spot w/my sister & fortunately, the price actually went down so I ended up w/a $50 credit per cabin & a small credit back to our AMEX.

Maybe you can consider doing this, if one of you is still able to go. We did purchase the traveler's insurance but decided not to cancel as our daughter has been looking forward to going for months!!!

Good Luck!
