It's not traded on the stock market (it's a commodity future) it's traded on the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) and NYMEX will trade on Thanksgiving Day: It is also traded on the London Exchange.

"Thursday, November 27
(Electronic trading and NYMEX ClearPort® are unaffected and will run on a normal schedule)"


So: Thanksgiving counts.
