Default Dealer hits soft 17

The rule change wherein the dealer hits a soft 17, instead of standing on all 17’s, is significant. In the game played on most cruise ships; i.e. eight decks or a CSM, the house percentage increases from .45% to .66% (assuming you play correct basic strategy). This is about a 50% increase in the house edge, just by having the dealer hit soft 17.

Some people actually like the new rule, because the dealer busts more often. However, this is more than offset by the times the dealer improves his hand.
