On our last cruise we ate more dinners in the Windjammer than the MDR. We realized that not only was the food very good but the atmosphere at the Windjammer in the evenings was much more intimate and quiet. We were glad we discovered the quiet ambiance and some nights we just weren't up to the crowded (and noisy) MDR. With all the make your own (pizzas, pasta, mongolian stir fry) stations the food was very fresh and very good. We also eat at least once every cruise at the Specialty Restaurant(s) and the food there is excellent very worth the small extra charge. If you cruise only for the food available I can understand being critical, but we cruise for the ship atmosphere and the ports (has to have nice beaches.) I don't think anyone has ever gone hungry while on a cruise so all the complaining about the food is just so some people can complain about something. I have always been happy with all RC has to offer and will continue to stay loyal to Royal.
