We visited Mr. Sanchez this year. It was approximately 15 min taxi ride from the port - standard rates are posted at the port. Not positive but believe around $14 to get there.
We arrived early (about 9:30a) and they were just setting up for the day. We enjoyed the free beach chairs and when the waiter came over and took our drink order, he saved us a table right by our chairs for when we decided to eat.
There was a pool at the facility, as well as clean restrooms.
We spent the day there (spending several hours), food (nacho's & quesdillia's), drinks (both alcohol and non-alcoholic tall beverages
and tip cost the 4 of us about $90.
Taxi's were waiting to return passengers whenever they wanted.
Am not sure how far from the other resort but we would stop at Mr. Sanchez's again...
