Delta Queen was put out of business by the Seamen;s Union who would prefer to see fewer cruise lines and people losing jobs than to have any river boat in the U.S. sailing without their Union members aboard.

You can than James Oberstar - head of the house Transportation committee for scuttling the Delta Queen by not even letting the bill that would have saved her out of his committee and onto the house floor for a fair vote.
