No Sue, that doesn't sound stupid, many places are eliminating smoking altogether both in and outside. As for the ordor, the only time we have even smelled stale smoke was on a HAL cruise about 4 years ago and then only the first time or two we opened our cabin door. You will find very few lines that have eliminated smoking in cabins, though more are doing so each year. You will also find very few places that allow smoking. Normally, the casino, maybe one or two bars and one side of the ship on the outside deck. That is pretty much it..You shouldn't be affected by the odor.

As long as smoking is legal and it is everywhere, smokers and non smokers have to learn to get along somehow.
