I have to disagree. In the USA, we are privileged that we can excercize our rights. But no-one in this country grants us our rights or privileges. We fought a revolutionary war back in the 1700's to make it official. The people give powers to the government, not the other way around. All the government can do is mediate between two parties when their excercize of their rights seems to conflict.
So, yes, we have the right to smoke. We have the right not to smoke. It is definitely preferrable for people to be repsectful and polite, and to do the right thing, rather than asking for the government to control andrestrict our rights.
