I feel you pain,and am so sorry that this happened....that said,the owness is on the consumer to check documents, etc...

The cruise line is not liable for your error,and over recent years, with the internet being just a click away to the cruise lines,complaints come flooding in, some being handled to satisfaction, some not so much.

This is an expensive lesson learned.
