We don't drink much, usually my husband will have a couple beers and I will have one or two "fruity" drinks with dinner or at the casino but that is all we really partake in, except at the fun farewell...we take advantage of it. Your kids will LOVE Camp Carnival, we had many kids on our last cruise and only saw them a few times, either poolside with the CC staff or with their parents at night. I was a "cruising kid" and loved it from the start, I begged my parents to take more cruises. What you also should know is they charge for soft drinks, my advice, and I think others will agree, is to buy the soft drink card, I believe they are $30.00, this allows you and your family to buy soft drinks without putting too much on your sail and sign card, and it keeps track of how many soft drinks you have consumed. You can also bring a small amount of beverages (non-alcoholic) onboard the day you embark, we did not bring any, but we saw many people carrying on bottles of water and soda. I also have to warn you that unless you booked a suite you will only have a shower in your stateroom, so keep that in mind with your children, our son (3) is terrified of taking a shower, but loves the sprinklers at water parks, go figure. Good Luck and if you have any questions feel free to lay them on us!!!
