FWIW...
The guy in the previous post - CaptainEdwardJohnSmith had a bit of a reputation around here for having a limited tolerance of foreigners. I would not take anything he said too seriously.
We eventually invited him to leave when he questioned my own patriotism solely because I did not chastise a European who said he believed some Americans were rude.
I am now deciding that all foreigners often see other foreigners as being rude, but they have no idea what they are saying so they really don't know.
