We will be going on Carnival Paradise in May, stopping in Ensenada. We would like to do some shopping, but aren't really impressed with Carnival's excursions--we just want to do some shopping, no scuba or kayaking,atv's, etc. Can anyone tell us how far the shopping is from the pier? Is it safe to take a taxi or walk to the shopping areas? It's our first cruise and first time visiting Mexico, so we will do the shopping tour if necesary, but looking for advice from some of you experienced cruisers here. Thanks!
