I had not heard this. When they start putting outlets by the side of the bed then I'll stop bringing an extension cord.

I can understand the logic. Some people may bring an extension cord that could be frayed or have exposed wires and this could be a fire hazard.

The cruise lines really need to review the electrical connections in the cabins and become a bit more accommodating to the guest.
