Hi everyone. Its my first time posting on this forum.
I was offered the GSO position with RCCL, and passed the initial face to face(UK) and Telephone Interview(Miami). Although it took a few months to hear back I was finally informed a few weeks ago, and was then told to apply for a Police/Credit check. Both forms came back fine. Although I should be thrilled that I have gotten this far, the one thing that is really worrying me is the Medical.
I have suffered from Depression/Anxiety for quite some time now, and I somehow dont believe that they will accept me onboard the Cruiseliner. Especially on a 6 month contract.
Depression unfortunately is still seen as a stigma in society, and some people still think that if you are depressed you are somewhat Crazy.
I still work at the moment and believe that I am more than capable to take on such a position even with the long hours that a GSO has to do onboard the ship.
Can anyone on this forum offer any advice,on whether they have experienced the same issues?
