Are steamers allowed onboard?

Steamers or irons are not allowed onboard. However, there is a full laundry and dry-cleaning service available onboard for a reasonable rate.

FAQ Answers
Well, that must be new. I haven't sailed Celebrity for about 3 years, so I'm obviously not current.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me honestly. I'd never stand a plugged in hot iron in the back seat of my car, because it could topple over and start a fire, if it went unnoticed. A steam would just tip over, and spill some hot water.
