Even when filled, once can always cram more stuff in. Another option is to ask the steward to remove and/or ask the steward if it is ok for you to do so, without being charged.

But nope, none in balcony staterooms on Triumph.

One option is to bring a collapsible ice chest (leak proof preferred), and perhaps leave it on the balcony in the shade or in the bathroom.
