We usually snorkel at least once per cruise and I have to say that Tabania Beach on Roatan was one of the best we have been to. The reef is right there at the beach and there are numerious fish of all kinds.

At Grand Cayman there are many nice beaches you can snorkel from and we like Eden Rock, not much in sunbathing type beach but the snorkeling is great and you can walk to it from the tender docks, you can rent a locker for $5 for the day soyou can store your thing there while snorkeling and if you tire of snorkeling you can shop without having to carry any gear you may have with you, plus there is a very nice small resturant there.

Even though the area just had some bad press Coki Beach on St Thomas is very nice for snorkeling and we enjoyed it better than the beach we went to on St John's, much more to see under water at Coki. Plus there is Coral World right there and you can rent lockers there for the day.

The area at the dock at Grand Turk was also very nice. When we were there they were swtil in recovery mode from a hurricane so not much of the island had power.

At Barbados we did any excursion of snorkeling that went by boat to a cove not far from the docks that had sunken boats, We did normal snorkeling then with power scooters, what fun and there wer a lot of fish also.

Hope this helps you Katlady.
