Trouble with the Caribbean is that people get mixed up & expect the South Pacific or Indian Ocean, the beaches & scenery in the Caribbean rarely challenge these places & can be crowded & commercialised....so people are disappointed. I love Barbados, as we have visited several islands on land based holidays we can say that from experience of spending time there. We have spent a lot of time in the West Indies ...nice but the Med has more interesting ports I think.
