Formal night IMHO is so 19th century - get real. I cruised Azamara and people were very relaxed because of no strict dress code. You can have elegance without Tux and gowns.

Yes, Carnival owns HAL and has for some years now.

Carnival also owns Costa, and Seaborne, and Cunard, and Princess. And a number of European cruise lines.
Total ships in the CCL fleet number about 100, maybe more.
