It was HAL'S Australian agent - Travel the World. My agent put the deposit through and did everything right but it was the girl in the HAL agent office who pressed the wrong button and cancelled.
All I really wanted to gauge was if people think what they have offered me is fair compensation for the mess up.
I'm not sure if it is and I am looking for something more but always want an outcome that is fair and reasonable. e.g. I am agreeable to pay a bit more to get an unobstructed view cabin. If others think their offer is fair then OK I am happy to accept that offer. I have not experienced something like this in all my travels before.
