As stated above, I think the Carnival Spirit class/HAL Vista class ships are a very nice size. But large or small is not our main consideration. Cruise length IS. And the longer the cruise the better for us. So that fairly well relegates us to the newer, larger ships as the older smaller ships get placed in the short cruise market. We've got to the point that we think 7 day cruises are just about tooooo short.
