We almost always book "inside" and REALLY enjoy those cabins. Occasionally, we'll get upgraded to a balcony, and frankly, I don't see a lot of difference. On a seven day cruise, I might go outside onto the balcony two or three times, but certainly, not enough to justify the extra cost. Interior of the cabins (inside & standard balcony) are almost exactly the same, except the balcony doesn't offer the privacy, or intimate darkness available for those afternoon naps.
