After a year of nagging, my wife finally consented to taking a cruise on the condition that we go on the RCI Song of America. It had been recommended by a friend as more kid friendly and less formal than the lines/ships I'd been suggesting. It was 1988 and the occassion was our 10th anniversary. We sailed with our 8 year old daughter. As I recall, Main deck had a grand total of 4 outside rooms with a 3rd berth. I guess it was RCI's way of keeping the kid population to a minumum. How times have changed! The highlight of the cruise was the turtle farm in Grand Cayman. Our daughter loved it. In March, I will be revisiting the turtle farm after an absence of 23 years. It will be interesting to see how it has changed. A great time was had by all!
