years ago Carnival got labeled as party-hearty ships, mainly because they allowed spring-breaker college kids to sail with out adult supervision, all that has changed but the label has stuck. Carnival has come a long way since those days. Its almost impossible to compare cruises line to line, its like comparing apples to oranges, each one is different in its own way, one thing that someone might like on one line, someone else might not on another
