Personally I don't think there are any "jarring" differences between the experiences, with the possible exception of the dress code. You will be doing what you feel is comfortable for you,and vice versa. We had a wonderful time on the Magic, with excellent food and service. We were well taken care of in every aspect, and I think once you get into the flow of the cruise, you will really enjoy yourselves.
