I buy an annual travel plan through RBC (in Canada). I think it costs about $160.00 for the four of us .... and covers us on ALL trips we take during year, as soon as we cross the border outside of Canada.

We had to use for a very MINOR clinic visit (thought the kids may have had strep). We were quickly reimbursed. We were not given any restrictions on who would could/could not see. We received our cheque within weeks of filing the claim. What impressed me most, was that there was a follow-up call while we were on our cruise (missed it and never responded) and then another one when we got home, to make sure the kids were both alright.

Trip, wheneve I've used a TA, I've had to sign a waiver if declining their health insurance.
