Default Carnival Freedom Review 11/27/11

We just got back from the 6 Day Western Carribean. Our 10th Carnival Cruise
which gave us our first V.I.P experience and WOW the Crew of the Carnival Freedom really came though. Most of the crew called us by name which was really nice. We also recived something extra in our cabin every Evening like canapies, sweet treets, Carnival fanny packs, Carnival coolers. VIP Tendering for Grand Cayman. One Free entry to the slot Tournement, On board the first day by 11:15 am. This was our second cruise on the Freedom. The first thing I noticed was how clean the ship was right when I walked on board. The tile had a shine on it like a mirrored finish. I was impressed by this because I don't remember it being that clean on our first Freedom cruise. The food is good no matter if you are in the dinning room or just the buffet. The only thing I did notice that Carnival has not changed it's menu in a really long time. The menu has been the same for me traveling on Carnival Freedom 2009Glory 2010, Valor April 2011, Freedom Nov 2011. I am not saying any of the food is bad. It's just I know the menu before I get on the Ship and I would like to be a nice surprize some day that I would board the ship and go to dinner and say wow something new.

Casino - Wow alot of people winning nothing. Slots would pay off now and then but alot of sad faces. Stay away from "Casino Vault" which is open 24/7
and only accepts cash. It payed off every $4,000 - $5,000 put into it.
A real fools game. I would like to purchase a couple of these machines.
Total money maker.

Key West - Allways a great time when the weather is nice. Which is was.
Never fun in the rain.

Grand Cayman - Been there 8 times and wanted to find something new to do.
And yes we found it. Camana Bay has a brand new Observation Tower with a
Undersea Mosaic it's a must see. Take the elevator to the top and walk down and follow the Mosaic to the bottom and It's FREE.
From downtown Georgetown it is a 5 minute ride on the local bus $5.00 for 2 people.
Here is the link:
The Observation Tower Camana Bay

Ocho Rios Jamaica - This used to be a nice place but there is over 30 % unemployment here so be really careful if you walk around on your own. Purses and cameras can be grabbed very quickly. Better to take a tour at this port.

The entertainment on the ship is exactly the same as it has been Since I was
on this ship in 2009. The Best show is Let it Ride a tribute to the Beattles and it is a amazing production. Other than that a Cruise it what You Make of It. It's your vacation relax and have a great time. We did and we will do it again. I hope you enjoyed my review. Thanks Edward Earl
