This month will be our 8 cruise on CCL and was looking forward to being Platinum but now that may not be the case.

I always thought that it was unfair that someone could sail on 10 cruises and book the lowest category and me booking suites most of the time and that other person would have the same status as I. (spending twice the money) Like getting comps in Vegas. Why should someone receive comps when they spend much less than I do. JMO! Isn't it the same thing. They reward you by sailing 10 times thus making more money.

With these new rules, will it also change by booking a suite and receive some of the perks such as first on and first off the ship? That is something we have always like about booking a suite.

I do not see what cabin you have should matter what level you are at. The number of cruises/days on a cruise should be how things are decided. Just because you can afford a balcony or a suite should have no bearing on your ranking IMHO.
