Thanks Dannyboy for the tips....but Buyer Beware. The $25 referral reward program works well; however the Share the Savings seems to be a "bait and switch" program.

Princess has rate codes in the background (which you cannot see) and the rates that were available to you when you booked may not be the same rates that are available when you try to "share the savings"....as I learned today when I tried to use the program.

The rate they are offering under "share the savings" matches what anyone could get if they logged on the Princess site today and tried to book. After spending considerable time on hold and talking with customer relations....all they could tell me is that they could not discuss rates with me since I booked through a travel agent and that I would have to talk with my travel agent. My travel agent couldn't make any progress with Princess either....they were told that the rate codes are different now and that rate is not available.

So....all the program does is create embarrassment for the individual trying to share the savings and empty promises for new cruisers that are open to trying the Princess line.

I plan to try and talk with Customer Relations again tomorrow....but it may be time to find a new cruise line...one that is much more transparent in their promotional offerings
