I have not witnessed it, because I chose to not climb, for that very reason. People really need to wear beach shoes, that will grip the rocks for better protection. Not sure I have heard of any extreme injuries, but of course anything is possible.

You need to take out travel insurance with medical included,and, with good medevac coverage. If by chance the injury was too much for a Jamacian hospital to handle, one would be airlifted, most probably to Miami.

Got to insuremytrip.com, to get side by side quotes. Anybody traveling should buy this peace of mind,and I know personally, since my husband needed it, 3 months ago.
