Weather in Alaska, anytime during the cruise season, is extremely variable. As Donna says the key is to dress in layers.
If you do something like landing on a glacier they usually supply boots and parkas for you. But someplace like Glacier Bay can be very cold and you may well want to wrap up warmly there.
