I agree with belgique. A lower deck is not a detriment on todays ships. On our 1st cruise back in the early 70s we had a lower cabin w/a porthole for a window. One day it was so rough, we saw underwater when the waves hit. Todays ships would be in trouble if that happen on the lowest pax deck.
