Smile Israel, Excursion, Jerusalem

We are a couple seeking 4 travel companions for an overnight excursion in Israel.

Possible tour offered by Green Olive Tours... From Haifa to nazareth is an interesting drive, then a walking tour of Nazareth Old City, visiting the Church of the Annunciation and learning about the social dynamics between the Christian Arabs there and the Jewish residents.
Then to the Sea of Galilee where there are options to visit a kibbutz, religious sites, and take a ride on the 'Jesus Boat'.
Then en-route down the Jordan Valley it would be possible to visit our friends in a Bedouin village for tea. Then on through the Judean Desert to Jerusalem or Beit Sahour to meet your host family.
The following day would be a mix of walking the Old City and visiting the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Selpuchre, and driving to the Mount of Olives and other famous sites. The guide would also provide a great deal of information on the struggle over Jerusalem between the Israelis and Palestinians.
Depart Haifa, Israel on Thursday, December 27 and ends in Ashdod, Israel on Friday, December 28.

You can either opt for a home stay in Beit Sahour or Jerusalem or 3 star accommodations in Jerusalem. If we get 6 people it will cost around $400 each. We have not yet finalized itinerary, so if you have a particular site of interest not listed above, we can still customize the trip. Norwegian Cruise Lines offers overnights starting at $600, but it wouldn't involve interacting with locals which in my opinion is the point of international travel. Contact me at with questions...
