You really don't need to do an excursion. Just take a taxi over to the other side of the island, grab a ferry, and do your own thing. Cheapest and easiest way to git-r-done.

If you want an organized excursion, look at the independent companies like Shore Trips and Port Promotions that are very reputable, often less expensive, always good, and always a whole lot less crowded.
