Figure the first 1-1/2 days going and the last 1-1/2 days coming back where it could be very cold. As for the Bahamas, obviously it really just depends on the weather you encounter and no one can predict that. But February is their coolest month of the year and it can get down to 60 at night and up to about 75 during the day - not hot, but definitely warm compared to NY. Last time we were down there during the Winter, we found the water a little chilly, but swimmable.
