Default Re: Is Celebrity REALLY an upscale line?

Gene and everyone else,

Here's the traditional breakdown of the major lines in the North American market. Lines listed in parentheses are now out of business.

Luxury Lines

Cunard Lines Ltd.
Crystal Cruises
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises
Seaborne Cruises
Silversea Cruises

Preimum Lines

Celebrity Cruises
Disney Cruises
Holland America Lines
Oceana Cruises
Princess Cruises
(Renaissance Cruises)

Mainstream Lines

Carnival
Costa Crociere
Norwegian Cruise Line
Royal Caribbean International

[b] Economy Lines [/i]

(Commodore Cruises)
(Premier Cruises)

The lines listed in the "premium" segment of the market traditionally were noticeably more "upscale" than the lines listed in the "mainstream" segment of the market, though the differentiation does seem to have diminished in recent years.

Norm.
