Just got back from my fourth cruise with a "stranger" from Cruisemates. This time we had e-mailed several times back and forth and spoke once on the phone, but met at the hotel we'd booked for the night before the cruise. (It was LA to Hawaii and back, and we both needed to fly across the country to get there, her from Tenn. and me from NH.) Anyhow, aside from being about the same age and both having husbands who don't like sea days, we had virtually nothing in common but it didn't matter. We got along OK, and had dinner in the MDR most nights along with 2 couples. Other than that we each did our own thing. So, while I doubt we'd ever choose to cruise together again, I certainly have no regrets about having done it this time.
